General Surgeon
Elijah Mobley, M.D. FACS is on staff at St. Mary’s Medical Center and Victor Valley Community Hospital. Dr. Mobley is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the AMA, AASLD, AST, ASTS, SCCM, SAGES, and is also a fellow of ACS.
Dr. Mobley received his Bachelor’s Degree from Florida A & M University, majoring in Premed. He received his Medical Degree from Meharry Medical College. He completed his General Surgery internship and residency at King/Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.
After his involvement with the research and care of his father- in-law who needed a liver and kidney transplant, Dr. Mobley pursued a career in transplant surgery. He completed Transplant Fellowships at St. Vincent Medical Center and NYU Medical Center where he trained with nationally recognized transplant physicians. Upon completion of this transplant fellowship training, he accepted a position at Avera Mckennan Medical Center as a transplant surgeon.
Acknowledging a desire to expand his experience and skill, Dr. Mobley pursued and completed a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where he received instruction from some of the finest surgeons in Los Angeles. Dr. Mobley also participated in a Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship that afforded him the opportunity to train with many of the foremost surgeons in the field.
Dr. Mobley’s office staff describes him as a “people person” who enjoys the time he spends talking with his patients. He is a considerate surgeon with a kind, compassionate and congenial bedside manner. Dr. Mobley is dedicated to providing quality care to his patients, and pays special attention to insure that every patient’s questions and concerns are addressed completely.
